You plan to be in Sibiu between May 28 and June 1, 2021 and you want to offer your child a unique experience on Children’s Day? We are waiting for you at the National Toy Fair, at its 14th edition! We have prepared a lot of dynamic and interactive workshops for you and your child: from theater performances, to weaving, painting, pottery, making traditional toys, rag dolls, pinwheels and much more. During this period, in the area of Ethno-Techno-Park and Ticera School, 20 folk craftsmen from all over the country will be there, to teach the little ones the secrets of traditional crafts.
Our offer for the summer is customized for families with children. The School in the traditional village program returns this year with new and old workshops. Thus, during the summer holidays, we invite you to the Open Air Museum to relive the atmosphere of the old traditional villages and to discover its secrets. The activities will take place both at the Ticera School and other households. Join us to learn, through interactive, educational and fun workshops, how a mill works or how to burn pots in a clay oven! Our offer is varied, from pottery workshops, to blacksmithing workshops or throwing horseshoes workshops, from painting workshops on ceramics or wooden furniture to activities of creating rag dolls or wooden toys. We also prepared gastronomic workshops, to make traditional donuts, through which the children will be able to knead the dough and then taste the delicious donuts that reminds them of their grandmother’s old kitchen.
At the Ticera School, the little ones will be able to experience the games that used to be played long ago, some of them forgotten today. Therefore we are waiting for you!
Are you a teacher interested in extracurricular activities? The museum is presented also for students, throughout the school year, with a wide range of workshops and outdoor activities.
