Găleșoaia's Soil and People exhibition opening

On 11 June 2023, starting at 12.00, ASTRA Museum organizes the opening of the exhibition "Găleșoaia's Soil and People". Highlighting the households transferred from this village from Gorj county to the Museum of Dumbrava Sibiului, the exhibition brings to the public's attention the complicated destiny of a relocated community. As a result of the expansion of the lignite quarry in the area, all buildings were demolished, forests and orchards were cut down, and the landscape became unrecognisable.
