Start @ School in the traditional village
ASTRA Museum, an institution whose actions are made possible by funding from Sibiu County Council, (re)launches today the project School in the traditional village. It is a summer educational programme running from 6 June to 30 September 2022, day after day, from 10:30 to 17:30, through which children, parents and grandparents can participate in the educational workshops and craft demonstrations held here by craftspeople from all over the country.
From 6 to 12 June 2022, the first week of the programme, in the Etno-Tehno Parc area of the Open Air Museum in Dumbrava Sibiului, a clay modelling workshop will take place under the guidance of folk craftswoman Roxana Mărcoiu from the Tonal Association.
On Saturday 11 June and Sunday 12 June 2022, Epic Education will perform two interactive theatre performances of the play ,,The Path to the House of Wisdom". In this show, children become part of the story by taking part in a real adventure in which two of the most famous characters from Ion Creanga's universe will get a real life lesson from a personified character full of mystery. Performances will be at 11:00 and 13:00.
Participation in workshops and theatre performances is based on the ASTRA Museum entrance ticket.
